A great book for children in grades 3-6. Written by George Sullivan. This book recounts the Lewis and Clark journey to the uncharted wilderness to reach the Pacific Ocean. It explains who the Captains were, why the expedition was so essential, what obstacles the Corps of Discovery had to overcome, and how they crossed the Bitterroot Mountains and the Great Fall of the Missouri River. Kids will enjoy this book and will want to know more. It also gives the chronology, bibliography, and recommendations for further reading.
