Since 1963, the Lewis & Clark National Park Association has provided essential administrative and financial support for important programs that have reached thousands of visitors and students across the nation. In 2020, however, the Association faced a major funding disruption as the Fort Clatsop Bookstore was closed various dates due to local, state, and federal restrictions from COVID19. The good news is we are back open, seven days a week from 9-5 and the Visitor Center has been able to resume normal operations including opening the exhibit hall and resuming the popular free films.
Throughout this difficult time, the association continues aid to Lewis and Clark National Historical Park. The LCNPA’s contributions towards the park’s living history programs, educational programs, and community speaker series are ongoing, and their popularity prove that they continue to be relevant to the community. The Park Education division has been able to continue to share with students through multiple virtual events. But without our cruise ship tours, school groups and onsite special events in 2020/21, it has been difficult for us to maintain adequate income for operating expenses. Now more than ever, we need your support.
