Poster: Salt Works

Bold graphics illustrate the image of a salt maker from the expedition carrying buckets of water to the fire where the water will be boiled down to produce salt. This task is described by Captain Lewis in his journal entry on January 5th, 1806. This popular poster is part of the graphics unifying the areas of Lewis and Clark National Historical Park. The location of the "Salt Works" is Seaside, Oregon.
